Wet your face with warm water at about 37 degrees, not too cool and not too hot, because the pores are very sensitive to temperature, and body temperature is about the best. The requirement here is to wet, do not use a towel to wipe wet, then the humidity is not enough.
2. Knead away
It is to knead the face wash in the palm of your hand to open the foam. The way my husband put on his face directly without kneading the cleanser into a foam does not allow the active ingredients in the cleanser to be fully refined, which will affect the effect. Also, applying the cleanser directly to the face and kneading it away will have an irritating effect on the local stratum corneum.
3. Circular motion
Note that it is not a random circular motion, but a circular motion of the cleanser on the skin in the direction of the skin texture for 1-2 minutes.
Many of you may ask me, what is the direction of the skin texture? The cheeks are in the direction of the ear along the lines of the law; the eyes are circled with the middle finger along the upper and lower eyelids to the end of the eyes; the lips are circled around; the nose is circled from the bottom to top along both sides of the nose bridge; the forehead can be circled from the middle to both sides. Be gentle with your hands and don’t leave anything out.
If you don’t find it easy to remember, remember the basic principles of the bottom to top and center to sides and slowly familiarize yourself.
Still, wash with warm water, 10 to 20 times, and pay attention to make sure to rinse clean without residue.
5. Dip dry
The last step, which many people do not care much about, is to use a towel to dry the water on the face, here I especially want to emphasize the point that it must be dried, not wiped dry, the action should be gentle.
Wouldn’t it be better to use a facial cleanser, a facial cleansing brush, or a facial cleansing towel?
The principle of facial cleansers is more or less the same, they all remove skin dirt and oil in a short period of time through sonic vibrations, and it causes less damage to the skin barrier compared to normal scrub-type exfoliating products. However, because it acts on the skin surface for a longer period of time, the cleanser stays longer and may also cause over-cleansing and damage the skin barrier. Therefore, for people with oily skin, it is recommended to be used; for people with dry skin, it is better not to use it.
Facial Cleansing Brush
Facial cleansing brushes remove dirt, and oil and shed keratin-forming cells from the skin surface mainly by mechanical friction of the brush head. It is a bit more irritating compared to facial cleansers. Therefore, it is recommended that people with oily skin also use it with caution.
It should also be noted that although cleansing instruments and cleansing brushes are more effective than normal cleansing, they are not recommended for daily use. Excessive cleaning and mechanical stimulation can instead cause skin barrier damage, facial sensitivity, mechanical folliculitis, and acne.
For sensitive skin, facial capillary dilation, hormone-dependent dermatitis, and other facial skin barrier damage, it is best not to use it.
Facial Cleansing Wipes
In addition, for people with oily skin, you can use the Netflix cleansing towel to use, which is the kind of disposable cotton soft towel brought on fire by Jing Tian’s video, as long as you pay attention to the time and strength of cleansing. But for people with dry skin, I don’t recommend using Netflix cleansing wipes, because this mechanical friction can damage the skin barrier and cause skin sensitivity.
In short, these instruments and aids that emphasize the cleansing effect are more friendly to people with oily skin. People with dry skin are suitable for amino acid cleansers, adjust the number of face washes according to seasonal changes, and do not overtry with normal skin.
